Interactive Gap Map
What is a Gap Map?
A gap map is an interactive visual tool that brings together a large body of evidence and shows at a glance what strategies are currently used, which are most popular, and where important gaps remain.
How can it be used?
The gap map plots each EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit strand against the percentage of schools that report using that approach in their pupil premium strategies, making it easy to see which evidence-based approaches are widely used and which are underused.
Filter to focus
Teachers can filter the gap map to view patterns across the whole Combined Authority or zoom in on individual local authorities. The colours show different deprivation bands, making it easy to see how use of EEF approaches varies by local context and level of disadvantage.
